In our latest Soul Mixer, the Brilliant Rebellion community was blessed with a special guest - Tracey, the founder of Tell Love Stories, a movement dedicated to creating spaces where people can share their personal experiences with love in all its forms. What unfolded was a beautiful exploration of how love manifests in our lives, often in unexpected ways and places.

The session began with a grounding exercise led by our community leaders, asking participants to connect with their heart center and remember that we are "not humans having a spiritual experience, but spirits having a human experience." This set the tone for vulnerability and openness that would characterize the entire call.

Tracey introduced Tell Love Stories as more than just a platform for sharing romantic tales. Over the past year and a half, the movement has hosted over 130 people at dinners worldwide, from New York to Nairobi, where participants share stories about love in its many forms - whether it's about complete strangers, crossing guards, neighbors, mothers, or even pets. The movement has expanded to include school programs helping young girls remember their self-love before societal pressures begin to shape their self-image, family legacy projects preserving generational love stories, and even a board game developed with input from children.

Some of the most powerful moments came when our community members broke into small groups to share their own love stories. The insights that emerged were profound.

Love is Unscheduled

As one Rebel beautifully expressed, "Love is not scheduled. It's spontaneous. It happens wherever it wants to happen." He shared a story about being upgraded on a flight and sitting next to someone who truly heard him for the first time - a reminder that love can appear in the most unexpected moments and places.

The Power of Unconditional Love

The groups explored how unconditional love isn't always a given - it's something we might not understand until we either receive it or feel it for someone else. As Dan, one of the community leaders, noted, "If we've never received it, then we never understand it... and how special a thing it is."

Another powerful insight was the connection between love and safety. When we feel truly loved, we feel safe enough to be our authentic selves rather than wearing masks or trying to be who we think others want us to be. This safety creates space for honest connection and deeper relationships.

As Tracey read from her year-end reflection: "Choose love stories and they're all love stories. Bliss, despair, too much, too little, blossoming, waning, laugh till we cry, cry to our core, look at it from so many different angles. What did it teach? What did it give? What did it create?"
